Nashotah House has separate Admissions Applications for the Residential, Distance Education and Post-Graduate Programs. For the Distance Education Program and for the Post-Graduate Program, you must submit your application form (or a Petition to Study as a Non-degree Student) and transcripts at least two weeks prior to the start of your first course or module. You may register for the upcoming module or course at the same time that you submit your admissions application or petition.
Admissions requirements for each degree program are included in the description of that degree program. They are also included in a checklist found at the beginning of each Admissions Application Form:
The admissions process for all programs at Nashotah House is a rolling admissions process, which means that applications are accepted and processed at any time during the year. Individual admission files will be reviewed for acceptance as each file becomes complete.
If you are enrolling in a Distance Education or Post-Graduate Program, your admissions application file may still be in process when you begin your first course or module, and you will be allowed to complete that course or module regardless of the admissions decision. If you are enrolling in a Residential Program, your admissions application file must be complete and a positive admissions decision finalized prior to your move to campus and registration for courses.
Nashotah House requires that all applicants submit official transcripts for their undergraduate work and any previous graduate work. The Bachelors degree is the entrance requirement for the MDiv, MTS and MA in Ministry degrees and for the Anglican Studies Certificate program. However, Nashotah House can accept a certain number of students who have not earned a Bachelors degree. This is in accordance with the standards of the Association for Theological Schools (ATS), the accrediting body for theological schools. Educational entrance requirements for other degrees are specified in the description of those degree programs:
Applicants are required to provide the names of and contact information for their recommenders, but they need not request that these individuals write letters on their behalf. Instead, Nashotah House will email or mail a questionnaire for the recommender to complete on the applicant’s behalf.
Applicants to the Residential and Distance Education Programs are required to take either the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or the Miller Analogies Test (MAT). If you have already done graduate work, you may request that this requirement be waived once Nashotah House has received transcripts for your previous graduate work.
