Explore Our Distance Education Programs
Nashotah House distance education programs are offered in a hybrid format—an online delivery system enlivened by periodic, short-term, intensive residencies on our beautiful campus. Each six-credit module is three months in duration and includes a one-week residency, usually scheduled in the first few weeks of the module. During the residential weeks students engage in Christian fellowship and lively discussion with their fellow students and instructors. This face-to-face interaction greatly enhances your ability to take full advantage of the on-line portion of the course.
During each residency, the distance student cohorts join our residential community, students and faculty, in corporate worship and community life, providing an opportunity to imbibe of the Benedictine spiritual formation which is the hallmark of a Nashotah House education. On campus guest housing is generally available during residential weeks; breakfast and lunch are available Monday-Friday in the campus Refectory.
