If you are contemplating a call to ministry or seeking a theological education, then Nashotah House may be just the place that God has prepared for you. Since 1842, Nashotah House has been the home of Benedictine spirituality, corporate worship and classical theology which distinguishes the Anglican tradition. Originally founded, not as a seminary, but as an intentional community gathered for prayer and mission, Nashotah House is unique in her ethos and in her proven ability to form leaders for Christian ministry.
Nashotah House remains true to the vision of her founders: a community whose common life is both sacramental and missionary-minded, seeking the sanctification of the world, and dedicated to the proclamation of the faith of the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church—hence the House’s historic reputation among Episcopal seminaries as “the catholic seminary.” Theological education at Nashotah House is conceived as formation of the whole person, under the authority of the whole Gospel, drinking in the wealth of the whole tradition of the whole Church, in communion with God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It is our conviction that the mission of the whole Church—to bring all people into the communion of saints—springs from lives that have been so formed.
Is this the experience of formation that God wants for you? Explore Nashotah House and discover what makes this seminary a place set apart.
