PhD (candidate) in Historical Theology, Marquette University
MDiv, Nashotah House
BA in Biblical and Theological Studies, Biola University
Fr. Micah Hogan is a PhD candidate at Marquette University studying Greek and Byzantine patristics, and is interested in the ways metaphysics, theology, and asceticism mutually inform one another, and in particular how Christians throughout history have come to understand what it means to love another person.
Fr. Hogan has served as a priest in the Anglican Church in North America since 2022, and received his formation at Nashotah House. He currently serves at St. Edmund’s Anglican Church in Milwaukee, and finds particular joy in the ministries of catechesis and spiritual direction. He also currently serves as the coordinator for the Fides Patrum seminar in patristics for the St. Irenaeus Institute, where he enjoys helping expose contemporary Christians to the wisdom of the early Church.
On a Sunday after Mass you can typically find him hiking, going to art museums, and enjoying Agatha Christie mysteries.
This academic year, Fr. Hogan is teaching Ascetical Theology 1 & Ascetical Theology 2 at Nashotah House.
