Bio:

Between 2000 and 2005 Fr. Kevin was given the unique opportunity of serving as Chaplain and Lecturer in Liturgy at the Church of Ireland Theological College while also pursuing his doctorate in liturgy at the Milltown Institute, the Jesuit College in Dublin, Ireland. This built on his Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies and Master of Divinity, and made it possible to follow his passion for liturgy both as a lecturer and a researcher. Regarding the latter, the Church of Ireland was in the process of producing a full revision of The Book of Common Prayer, and so the opportunity presented itself to write his doctoral dissertation on what became the 2004 Prayer Book, which remains the most recent revision of the Prayer Book, and also enabled him to develop a specialty in Anglican Prayer Books. Fr. Kevin now serves as Rector of Christ Church, Ithan, in Villanova, PA and as an Adjunct Professor at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia, where he has taught liturgy, biblical languages, Anglican studies and spirituality. His research interests include The Didache, the Liturgical Movement and the intersection between ritual theory and spirituality. His personal interests include playing the guitar, drums and piano, and he is a lifelong baseball fan. Fr. Kevin is married to Rose from Carrickfergus, Ireland, and they have two daughters, Elsa and Maggie.
